Tulsa Korean Church is seeking a multi-talented individual to join our team as Worship Leader. It is a full-time position with benefits requiring 40 working hours per a week. Our church is a vibrant and dynamic Korean-American community, dedicated to worshiping God and spreading his message of love and hope.

Salary: 

• Minimum $38,400 yearly with benefits (included Housing Compensation, Health Insurance, and Retirement Plan). *Candidates’ experiences, education, responsibilities, evaluations can influence the salary determination for this position. The search committee will evaluate 1st year performance for your salary review for possible raise in the 2nd year (min 0% to 5% of yearly salary depend on evaluation) 

Responsibilities:

• Preaching Sunday Worship Service in case of the Senior Pastor’s absence

• Preaching Morning Prayer and Wed-Friday service in case of the Senior Pastor’s Absence 

• Work closely with the Senior Pastor to develop a weekly service plan that fits within the Church's vision.

• Forming relationships with English-speaking Young adults of Korean-American Culture and mainly Korean-speaking parents in order to oversee and supervise our unique Korean-American environment that helps them grow in their faith in the name of Jesus Christ.

• Directing and teaching Bible Study on Friday for Young adult group

• Planning and Creating activities and programs, such as camps, and mission trips for Young adult ministry

• Recruit volunteers to assist in supporting the overall Church activities.

• Engage Young adults in activities outside of Church to show support and build relationships

• Provide monthly Young adult report to Executive Deacon’s meeting

• Manage any necessary form, document, and paperwork involved in the overall ministry of The Korean Church of Tulsa

• Participate and join the Korean-American culture of the overall church member at large.

• Plan and lead worship services and events for specials, seasonals, and yearly.

• Collaborate with the Pastors and other members of the music team to create a seamless worship experience

• Choose and prepare music that is appropriate for the service, including contemporary worship songs and traditional hymns

• Develop and maintain a strong team of volunteer musicians and singers

• Foster a worship culture that encourages participation and spiritual growth

Requirements:

• Ability to communicate with Korean-American

• Strong musical abilities, including proficiency on an instrument (preferably guitar or piano)

• Experience leading worship in a church setting

• Ability to work well with others, including pastors, deacons, musicians, and volunteers

• Passion for worship and a love for God

• Excellent organizational documentation and administrative skills with good time management 

• A heart for ministry and a desire to serve the Korean-American community
