Pastor Position (Full-Time)
LAKE Ministry, the
English Ministry of Los Angeles Korean United Methodist Church (LAKUMC), is
seeking a full-time pastor to shepherd its congregation. LAKUMC was founded in 1904 as the first
Korean church established in the continental United States. We are seeking a person who has an
unmistakable call to serve the Korean-American church.
Ministry
Expectations:
-Lead Lord’s Day
worship services
-Prepare and
preach biblically based sermons
-Work with the
worship team on a weekly basis
-Lead the
Education Department (youth ministry, children’s ministry)
-Maintain
communication with all members via social media
-Visit and care
for members on a regular basis
-Lead the outreach
ministry to Avenir Memory Care Center
-Collaborate with
the KM pastoral staff
-Attend all
required meetings
-Cooperate when it
comes to KM functions/events
-Maintain good
records and keep track of administrative tasks
Qualifications:
-Must have a
definite calling to full-time ministry in the Korean-American church
-Must have a
Master of Divinity degree from an ATS accredited seminary/divinity school
-Must have some
prior ministry experience as a pastor, jundosa, or pastoral intern
-Must be a U.S.
citizen or have at least legal residency in the U.S.
Salary Package:
